Stacy Kern-Scheerer is an attorney, parent, award-winning professor, and community volunteer who has lived in Williamsburg for 13 years. She is a professor at William & Mary Law School who also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Health and who served the public for a decade as a nonpartisan legislative lawyer on Capitol Hill. Stacy will bring extensive and unique expertise to the City Council, working to build on Williamsburg's strengths and to continue to recover from the COVID pandemic.

Serving the community
Stacy volunteers extensively in the Williamsburg community. She is Williamsburg’s citizen appointee to the Colonial Community Criminal Justice Board, and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Olde Towne Medical and Dental Center.

A Williamsburg family
Stacy and her husband Jonathan came to Williamsburg in 2009, when Jonathan began his career in the Chemistry Department at W&M. Their son is a student at Matthew Whaley Elementary. The family enjoys riding their bikes around town, going to Summer Breeze concerts, kayaking College Creek, and hiking Lake Mataoka Trail with their two sweet dogs.
